Mountain Story - An interesting short story

"A son and his father were walking on the mountains.
Suddenly, his son falls, hurts himself and screams: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"
To his surprise, he hears the voice repeating, somewhere in the mountain: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"
Curious, he yells: "Who are you?"
He receives the answer: "Who are you?"
And then he screams to the mountain: "I admire you!"
The voice answers: "I admire you!"
Angered at the response, he screams: "Coward!"
He receives the answer: "Coward!"
He looks to his father and asks: "What's going on?"
The father smiles and says: "My son, pay attention."
Again the man screams: "You are a champion!"
The voice answers: "You are a champion!"
The boy is surprised, but does not understand.
Then the father explains: "People call this ECHO, but really this is LIFE.
It gives you back everything you say or do.
Our life is simply a reflection of our actions.
If you want more love in the world, create more love in your heart.
If you want more competence in your team, improve your competence.
This relationship applies to everything, in all aspects of life;
Life will give you back everything you have given to it."

YOUR LIFE IS NOT A COINCIDENCE. IT'S A REFLECTION OF YOU!"

موفقیت چیست؟

What Is Success?

By: Ralph Waldo Emerson – American poet, 1803-1882

To laugh often and much,

To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children,

To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends,

To appreciate beauty,

To find the best in others,

To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch…,

To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.

This is to have succeeded

Sleeping Through The Storm

Sleeping Through The Storm

                   picture of a farm

A young man applied for a job as a farmhand. When the farmer asked for his qualifications, he said, "I can sleep when the wind blows."

This puzzled the farmer. But he liked the young man, and hired him.

A few days later, the farmer and his wife were awakened in the night by a violent storm. They quickly began to check things out to see if all was secure. They found that the shutters of the farmhouse had been securely fastened. A good supply of logs had been set next to the fireplace. The young man slept soundly.

The farmer and his wife then inspected their property. They found that the farm tools had been placed in the storage shed, safe from the elements.

The tractor had been moved into the garage. The barn was properly locked. Even the animals were calm. All was well.

The farmer then understood the meaning of the young man"s words, "I can sleep when the wind blows."

Because the farmhand did his work loyally and faithfully when the skies were clear, he was prepared for the storm when it broke. So when the wind blew, he was not afraid. He could sleep in peace.

finding inner peace

finding inner peace

Peace comes from reading good spiritual books, inspirational stories, yoga, & most of all, meditation. The yearning for the soul is towards its home, towards the Lord. Music too elevates but the effect is temporary. For many people finding peace of mind is closely linked with a spiritual quest, others find it through physical exercises which bring relaxation and a calm inner state. Prayers help too. Serving & helping people is always nice. We must realize that most events are simply not worth worrying about or being upset about. In our efforts to obtain inner peace, we must NOT do the most unpeaceful things. Not hurt others. Instead, practice forgiveness. Inner peace is a gift you can give to others and to yourself. Always try to fill your mind with thoughts of peace & true Love for the Lord, and it will direct you toward inner peace.

The 12 Dancing Princesses

Download the 12 Dancing Princesses

12 dancing princess

If you like magic, invisible cloaks, secret gardens, enchanted castles, and glittering dances, then this is the story for you.

The Brothers Grimm wrote the most famous version of this mystery tale about how 12 beautiful princesses manage to wear out their dancing shoes every night, even though they never seem to leave their room. However, we have chosen the “French Version” as told in English by Andrew Lang. It’s even more romantic and exciting, and it has some lovely light touches:

It was whispered about that they led exactly the lives that princesses ought to lead, sleeping far into the morning, and never getting up till mid-day.

Barbie has recently appeared in her own version of this fairy tale. We say not a word against La Belle Barbie, but Bertie’s version is the TRUE one!

If you like this story, you might also enjoy listening to The Sweetest Princess, The Princess and the Pea, and Cinderella.

Told by Natasha Gostwick. Duration 26 Minutes.

This audio story explains how Prince Bertie came to write the first installment of his autobiography (Prince Bertie the Frog).

The book itself presents the text and beautiful full color pictures to go with an earlier Bertie story which you can listen to here.

Here’s the blurb from the back cover:

Once upon a time, Bertie had it all. He was a handsome prince, world skateboarding champion, and engaged to the Lovely Princess Beatrice.

Nowadays poor Bertie is just a common frog. His new pondlife friends include Tim the Tadpole and Sadie the Swan. Colin the Grump Carp goes around the pond whispering ugly rumors. Colin says that Bertie’s making it all up about his royal past.

In this exciting, up-to-day fairy tale, Bertie exclusively reveals the events that led to his downfall.

The story of how Bertie came to write his book is read by Natasha Gostwick. Duration 10 minutes.

The Happy Prince

Swallow

Oscar Wilde’s story of a statue and a swallow is both beautiful and sad. We feel it captures much of the spirit of Easter, which is why we are publishing it during Easter week. The statue was once a prince, who was happy, if pleasure be happiness. He lived in a palace surrounded by a walled garden, and had no idea that anybody else could be poor or sad. Now that he is a statue, high above the city, he can see that his happiness is not shared by all.

inspiring love story

The Rose Within

A certain man planted a rose and watered it faithfully and before it blossomed, he examined it.

He saw the bud that would soon blossom, but noticed thorns upon the stem and he thought, "How can any beautiful flower come from a plant burdened with so many sharp thorns? Saddened by this thought, he neglected to water the rose, and just before it was ready to bloom... it died.

So it is with many people. Within every soul there is a rose. The God-like qualities planted in us at birth, grow amid the thorns of our faults. Many of us look at ourselves and see only the thorns, the defects.

We despair, thinking that nothing good can possibly come from us. We neglect to water the good within us, and eventually it dies. We never realize our potential.

Some people do not see the rose within themselves; someone else must show it to them. One of the greatest gifts a person can possess is to be able to reach past the thorns of another, and find the rose within them.

This is one of the characteristic of love... to look at a person, know their true faults and accepting that person into your life... all the while recognizing the nobility in their soul. Help others to realize they can overcome their faults. If we show them the "rose" within themselves, they will conquer their thorns. Only then will they blossom many times over.

درس زندگی

A Lesson in Life

Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of good or bad luck. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul. Without these small tests, if they be events, illnesses or relationships, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere.

If someone hurts you, betrays you , or breaks your heart, forgive them. For they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to who you open your heart to.

If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because they love you, but because they are teaching you to love and opening your heart and eyes to things you would have never seen or felt without them.

Make every day count. Appreciate every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again.

Talk to people you have never talked to before, and actually listen. Hold your head up because you have every right to. Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don't believe in yourself, no one else will believe in you either.

You can make of your life anything you wish. Create your own life and then go out and live it.
